dramatic happenings..

as a few of you know, i went on holidays for two weeks in australia for some weeks ago. i went with my uncle, brother and my girlfriend sheila. (sheila lives in dublin so we don't see eachother that often) i made her pregnant. she told me over the phone. she freaked out.. i got a phone from her parents this afternoon that she had tried to kill herself.. she's now in coma at the hopital in dublin. and my days aren't going well. im going to dublin if a few days to see her and to be there if she ever wakes up.

i love sheila. she means the world to me.. and i dunno what to do without her.

there's so many details, but i thought i'd make it simple, my eyes are so wet of tears so ill end it here.

i love you all and i hope youll understand how i feel. i appreciate any comment and messages.

I really know (kinda) what your going through. Recently, my best friend tried to kill herself and it was one of the hardest times in my life.Even though she got 'better' she actually died a few weeks ago of a heart attack so I hope you dont have to go through that pain even though it must be painful now.

I'm so sorry to hear about your girlfriend, I hope she and your baby turn out OK and I hope you and her get things sorted out.
 (a hoosier hug :) )

i know what its like to always be worrying if someone is going to life or die that is very close to you, and its really hard but you've just got to try to focus on the good things in life and try to talk about it. it helps.

Hey Andrew-forgive me for not introducing myself earlier.
I was away visiting friends and family for ten days.
I really am very, very sorry to hear about your girlfriend.
I think it's one of those situations where by no matter what anybody says, it won't be the right thing, but if your girlfriend makes a full recovery (and I really hope she does), at least she will get all the help she needs.
I actually live in the North of Ireland (Co. Tyrone), though I am originally from St. Albans in Hertfordshire, and I know how tough it is having to run back and fourth between the two places.
I myself have suffered depression for the last 15 years or so, since I was about 15, and did hit a really bad patch about 10 years ago, where I thought about doing really terrible things to myself too.
At least your girlfriend is very lucky to have you and her family around, who love her very much, which is one of the reasons I couldn't cope.
I felt like I had no-one around, so at least she's not in that position.
I have also lost a couple of people to suicide, so I sort of know what you are going through, and if you ever want to chat, I'm usually about, or send me an email at seanherron@btinternet.com
I honestly hope things work out for the best for you both, and I'm a great believer in fate-all things happen for a reason, and even if it doesn't feel like it at the time, someone up there does watch over us, I promise you.
Good luck, and we're all here on the forum to help you.
