guessing this is another hoosier gig?
their are alot in france :O
does that mean the 6th of the 11th month
or the 11th of the 6th month
i don't actually get which one goes first because everyone does it differently :s:
though it doesn't matter much because i couldn't go..

I've just changed it Sorry in France we put the day before the month!!

If someone knows this sort of motor's event...Help me!! I don't understand at all how they can perform? Where?

Delmea0203
04-05-2008, 12:30 PM
I thin it will be a concert with a few bands, before or after the race.
I can't go there, I'm in school.
Are you going there Laurence?

laurence
04-05-2008, 12:57 PM
Actually I don't think so! But I finish my exam the same day in the afternoon and it's not so far from Paris...It woud be really crazy...I mean to go to a motor's course that I usually hate...But it's so tempting i need to know more about it...AAArgh what an irritating dilemna!! It will be simplier if they perform directly to Paris!!

MrsBonzo
04-05-2008, 01:47 PM
really? i love cars :D
haha and are you going to go then ?:p

laurence
04-05-2008, 02:04 PM
:dontknow: i've checked my exam's planning and I finish in the morning so it's possible...But this motor's context impressed me...Who will be the audience? do they come for the Hoosiers or for this motor course?
I'm fed up to not succeed to find more informations about it!! :dong:

Delmea0203
04-05-2008, 02:07 PM
I think the audience comes for the race, sorry.

laurence
04-05-2008, 02:20 PM

04-05-2008, 05:48 PM
haha awesome :thumb:
how much is it?

laurence
04-05-2008, 05:56 PM
It's not really expensive 26 or 28 euros and indeed they have a special price for students... and it's the same price for the transport for go and return! So the total would be around 50 euros

theHoOSiERs-x
04-05-2008, 06:03 PM
thats quite cheap

laurence
04-05-2008, 06:05 PM

laurence
07-05-2008, 05:22 PM
Sometimes there is some low cost flight...Check it...It may be easy to convince some adults around you : a nice trip in France in a beautiful historic town + a motor event well-known...AND the hoosiers (the best part)
I think you have tools to plan a machiavelic process of persuation!! :D

laurence
08-05-2008, 02:08 PM
I've got my ticket!!...I wait Lucinda...I doesn't want to be alone in the motor's sphere lol

It's a little bit crazy : I don't even know if I coul return by train the same night or if I have to sleep there...and where...we will see...

Delmea0203
08-05-2008, 02:11 PM

laurence

Excuse me I was tired I supposed you were French from le Mans(and not Caen)...Oh you come from England...How long wll you stay there? One day or for the all event? Have you already seen the" 24h du Mans" or the Hoosiers? Sorry for all this question but it reassured me a little bit I've never been to this sort of motor event...

Maybe I'll see you there! ;-)

Thanks for the information I like Fiction Plane's music : great band!!

elaviel
26-05-2008, 07:25 PM
I'm going for the whole event wednesday till sunday! The hoosiers are just the worlds biggest bonus!!!!

You just going for the wednesday night then?

laurence
26-05-2008, 07:57 PM
Yeah just for the Hoosiers but I will try to understand this motor world a little bit!! I don't know yet if I will sleep there or if I will come to Paris just after...It's depends if there are still train this night!

Will you go with your friends or parents?
Hey you should present yourself, shouldn't you? ;) Yeah I'm too curious sometimes so you're not bound to!!

elaviel
27-05-2008, 12:05 PM
Its a car race on saturday about lunch time that finishes the following lunch time 24 hours later, what more is there to understand lol!

Going with my dad and his mate, my lot let me down!

laurence
27-05-2008, 02:50 PM
Not understand the race :D but more people who like it...understand the interest of this kind of event!! Actually I don't really like much this motor event but who don't know, maybe to see the circuit live make me like it!! (I don't know if my sentence is understable...Sorry if it's not!)

jules
28-05-2008, 09:00 PM
I can't believe that I'm going to Le Mans for the race and turn up a day late to see the Hoosiers (and Fiction Plane who I rather like too)

elaviel
29-05-2008, 07:55 AM

jules
29-05-2008, 07:43 PM

laurence
29-05-2008, 09:43 PM
 hello Jules glad to see that you'll come too!!
If I understand you also come from England!! Cool!! I don't imagine that it was so "international" as event!!

I hope it's not too huge...and I won't feel lost!!

If somedody has already been there and tell me how it's organised I will feel more reassured!!

elaviel
30-05-2008, 07:27 AM
Organised?/????????

no idea!

elaviel
30-05-2008, 07:30 AM
alot of people will arrive wednesday for the weekend race but it depends on ferries, tunnels and time off work!

Wednesday is the first day you can get into the campsites without paying extra so its always a popular day!

The evening concert (Hoosiers) will prob be attended by quite a few but alot will be drinking heavily after the long drives.

laurence
12-06-2008, 03:38 PM
Not really so good as usual : The concert was during the race test (les essais) so the sound wasn't very good (soo loud especially the drums)...But I have to say I was already fed up by Fiction plane (their concert seems to be an eternity for me), the crowd, the noise...so I think I was not in a good day to appreciate the music at all! The Hoosier's part was shorter as their usual concert but it's obvious it was nice to hear themand we enjoy the show!! ;)

@Elaviel : Do you enjoy it? ;)

Delmea0203
14-06-2008, 02:57 PM
They didn't came to see 5 people who were waiting for them. They just passed in front of them, without anything else :(

I think laurence talked about it in the french thread

taennchen
14-06-2008, 03:08 PM
Aww, that's mean... I can't imagine them acting like that.

Samia
14-06-2008, 03:13 PM
They may were exhausted or, they remembered the last time they came in France which was ...

Like: "Can I Have a Kiss Irwin ?" "Oh Irwiiin I looove youuuu" "Aaaaaaaaah Irwiiin" :D

Ask Laurence, she was there, and she saw how the fans did with The Hoosiers :D

Oh... Well, if somebody acts like that it may be a bit annoying for them. But anyways. They're their fans and they should treat them well and not ignore them...

That's so strange. In Germany they acted totally different.

Delmea0203
14-06-2008, 03:21 PM
In France too, that was just this time.

Maybe they were a bit angry because of the show, laurence told me that the audience wasn't that good.

@Mod75: Ok I wasn't sure it was you I hesitated...I've changed my post! ;-)

In fact, they hasn't a real excuse for their comportement...we were extremily calm...In fact we were discussing whereas they came out...just only five persons...I would understand if they hadn't time to speak a lot, but they should have explain it : just " we don't have the time, sorry bla bla"...From our point of view it wasn't very polite and a little bit dissapointed...

And for the audience I don't know I were in front so it's hard to fell the real atmosphere but it wasn't good for us in the crowd maybe not for them ( I think they have a a good reception especially if we compare it to the Fiction Plane's one)...They were excited but not in a good way like in the elysée Montmartre!! most of the guys behind me were totally drunk and had already during the Fiction plane part push themseves or other stupid things like throw glass of beer (full) actually I never received more beer in my life :pound: But in fact it was at the end really irritating even if sometimes I was the first to smile of it...

Delmea0203
14-06-2008, 03:34 PM
When I said 'angry', I meant they were annoyed, or something like that.

Maybe didn't they do it intentionally?

If I were you, I wouldn't be desappointed. It's OK if they dind't talk to you, you didn't come to the Mans to talk to them, but to see them performing ^^

(J'dis ça j'dis rien hein :D)

Their behaviour was disapointing but this didn't mean that I was disapointed...

It's obvious that I'm not sad or anything like that...I'm 24 years old and I didn't wait for something really special...and otherwise I spent a really nice day with Lucinda!!
But their behaviour just in a "human way" ( don't know if it's the good term) wasn't great this time. It's not the end of the world!!

Mod75

They were good though!

Did you see them watching fiction plane and holding that sign up?

My dad had a conversation about fiction plane and the racing with them without having a lue who they were!

Sad to be home now but hey bring on margate!

laurence
16-06-2008, 11:04 AM
No I didn't see them watching Fiction Plane. Where were you in the crowd?
Your dad was with you at the concert?

Yeah of course the concert was good...But ( yeah there is a but lol) the sound was so loud ands weird sometimes (with the parisian concerts I was used to have a better sound so that explain my reaction)...it was better than for Fiction Plane (which the sound of the guitars was quite irritating).

And for the race I surprised myself to watch it at the TV... and be a little bit disappointed that Peugeot (a french motor) didn't win against Audi!!! :pound:
after the concert a plastered guy explain to us the test journey and his love for this event...and I just remember that Peugeot was the outsider of this test journey!!! He also said some stuff quite interesting especially that the main attraction concerns the industry by the financial repercussions for the consumer! :D ...

Yeah I have to admit, even if I really enjoyed to be there, have watched for the first time of my life a motor race, it was hard for me to support the noise of all of this... we arrived around 5 PM... and there were already some test

And tell me did you enjoy your french trip? Did you have the time to visit the town le Mans? What do you think about all this? You seemed to have a great moment!! I'm glad about that!!

elaviel
16-06-2008, 12:27 PM
There were 10 of our camp down watching it but i left my dad at the back, the hoosiers were standing in the middle of the back and fiction plane even said about them being there lol!

oh well, just sad to be home.

Didn't make it into the centre of Le Mans really, popped over to St Saturin on Friday and La Chartre Du La Loir ( Sorry if i got that wrong!) on Thrusday!

I wanted peugeot to win too Audi have hads the title toooooooo long now! But i think Peugeot will learn from there mistakes and sucessed next year!!!

I was glad that the Astons won GT1 class though!

Oups I haven't even noticed it..We were probably more focused on some people in the crowd...it was weird :twitch: but funny too...I've never seen before glasses of beer flying in the air like that, I'm not against that (let the glasses their independance) but the problem it's when it come back down...:D It was almost a shower of beer for us especially for that poor girl next to me : she litterally received a glass of beer on her...Added to that we almost have the privilege to see a beautiful bum of a guy who probably forgot to attach his trousers...If we take the positive side of all of that it was really funny but it make me loose a little bit my concentration :pound:
