Yeah, although it would be a "safe" sounding song and turning it down shows integrity, a willingness to expand their sound, etc., I definitely would have liked to hear it just for the sake of another good Hoosiers song

Most people are doing co-writes nowadays, so it's quite good that the Hoosiers only co-wrote 3 out of the 12 songs - the album is still fundamentally them, plus, by the bit in the article about Bumpy Ride, it seems like co-writing sessions are less about being given melodies and more about being shown alternate ways to come up with them

Which do you think are the other two co-written songs?

except it wouldnt be another good hoosiers song, it would just be another good song that the hoosiers played ya know. hmm I think I'd have to hear the whole album to guess which ones were co-written. (or just look in the liner notes )

I know co-writing happens etc and probably a lot of the songs i like have been co-written but i respect an artiist a lot more if they write their own songs.

Someone was widing me up about this article at work cause he bought it at the weekend and mentioned he's seen the article
He said they'd sold out and used co-writers (he was joking) so i told him to shut up

you tell em nic! yeha I feel the same way but form what the article said it didnt really seem like they werent writing the songs themselves, they were just getting like workshops and stuff to get them thinking in new ways musically and then they took off from there

yeah that's what i meant i respect that they wrote their own songs, and used the sessions just to learn and get inspiration.
